Description

Our 'Meet the Trust' event in the grounds of Island Hall gives an exciting opportunity to meet experts from your local Wildlife Trust. Keen Wildlife Trust supporters, Mr Christopher and Lady Linda Vane Percy are kindly providing access to their 2 acre private island behind Island Hall to help showcase the work of your local Wildlife Trust. The event gives the opportunity to find out more about the Godmanchester Nature Reserve and other local conservation activities through a variety of talks and demonstrations delivered by Trust staff and volunteers. The ticket price includes tea and cake per person which will be served from 12.30pm.

FAQs

1) Do I need to print out and bring a ticket to get in?

Yes, please print off the ticket and bring it with you on the day.

2) Will you be selling tickets at the door?

Unfortunately we are unable to sell tickets at the door and therefore all tickets must be purchased in advance.

3) How do I get there?

From the A1 South and approach through Huntingdon from the East.

Approaching from the Huntingdon ring road, follow signs to Godmanchester and go over the river bridge. After half a mile you enter the town and pass over a pelican crossing with the Black Bull pub on your left. Approximately 200 yards further on, you pass Island Hall on your right.

Go over the second pelican crossing, then turn immediately right into Mill Yard public car park (free). Access to the island is available through the back of the car park. Please note that parking is very limited and we would therefore request that guests walk to the venue if possible.

Additional parking has been arranged on the day at Huntingdon Community Nursery at the rear of number 25 Park Lane, Godmanchester, PE29 2AG.

From A14 south, A14 North, A1 North and A1198

Leave the A14 at the Godmanchester turn off and follow the sign to Huntingdon and Godmanchester. After a mile, pass through the town centre (with Chinese Bridge on your left and the Church spire on your right). Just before the pelican crossing turn left into Mill Yard public car park (free).
